How To Teach Tm To A Pokemon

Tag 114: Sportfest in Mother

Yesterday and today was announced, no classes. But "
Sports Meet
Yùndònghuì
Chenggong (呈贡) is a district of Kunming in the far south. Our university - the Yunnan Nationalities University (云南 民族 大学, yúnnán Minzu Daxue ), only once in memory - there is another campus that is really very very nice because he rebuilt and is still quite clean. Life there is very comfortable, but also boring, because of the distance to the city center. Karina (a Brazilian I know of here) and Guy (pronounced: [ɡi ː] , the Austral-Swiss Thai fluently speaks the envy * * study) there. And yesterday there was just a big sports event as it seems at every university in China once a year to be. For the students really a great event with much fanfare. Anyone who grew up in East Germany, can imagine the importance of which about. With several school buses 's went off in any event, at 7:00 am
(ie half an hour after us in the dormitory of the current terms)
. Amila, the Nangis ( Nangi P1000380 is the Sinhalese word for "little sister" to the 3 Srilankanerinnen meant the age of Amila and I) and I, Lina were from Norway and some 30 Thai we, the other buses housed more Thais and other nations. After about an hour we arrived in Chenggong, got out and shivered first: Chenggong is so far removed from urban micro-climate that the wind is so strong and the temperature is low (allegedly -2 ° C) was that we all are almost totgefroren , namely we had for about half an hour waiting for our teacher ... They came then and we got red polo shirts with the symbol and the International Education School (国际 教育 学院,
Guoji Jiàoyù Xueyuan ) back to back. Not bad!
Then we came to a large sports field with a grandstand full of Chinese. Not only do we foreign students, and other (Chinese) from other institutions such as philosophy, foreign language school and further. All were representative in uniform, in three achievement with a flag and the Institute names were then presented by the respondent and are then marched to the sports ground in jubilation and applause of the audience - including us. Even our countries were presented, for example, 德国 ( Déguó
, Germany). Then it was time to Wait ... on the sports field.
P1000382 were held for a few speeches, then the national anthem was played (a very nice way, think like me) and some people with flags running around, then went and ourselves from the square and watched from the grandstand area (but at ground level) the spectacle. There was dancing a lot and performed feats of acrobats, acrobatics, swing bands (äscha as before!) And finally a belly-free group of minority dancers. P1000390 was frozen majority of us, to all the Thais decided to look into the distance. Since we were in the same bus, we joined of them went away, and gathered in a sort of hall to wait for the teacher and the bus, then came an hour later. Frozen half we went (residential) home, at about 12:00 or 12:30. From the Sports Day, I really had the impression that this is really typical Chinese. This is what one is against it or has it once on TV (we were just not as many thousands of people there). In our favorite eating road, 圆 西路 (
Yuánxīlù
), gave it to then licked 混沌 (hundun) P1000395 and 饺子 (jiǎozi)
to bursting. I'm getting really fat at the delicious food. Hab I mentioned that I take my impassable in recent years 58 kg now about 63 or 64 kg weigh? Well ... Incidentally, I now have not only this Uni-shirt, but also a new sweater, blue and warm, from NIKE (höhöhö) that I help with Tik in the 121-road (一二 一 大街, Yi 'Eryi Dajie -acquired). At first, he still cost 95 yen, or about € 10.70, which for a simple sweater is quite expensive. Foreigners holding price. Tik knows more haggling with (although in Thailand is not usual) and we have complained so long about the expensive price and then wanted to go already (or "Go!" in Thai is some fun in "Let's go!" ป๊ะ [páʔ] in the high range) and got a prompt then still the sweater "nachgeworfen", for only 60 ¥ ( about 6.75 €). Another, more attractive (grüne!) Cardigan we have received but not so - that's according to Tik but somewhere else for 50 yen instead of 95 ¥. Let's see ...

Chameleon Windows Ntldr

Tag 110: Der Tag Heizstrahler

There are currently not so much new to tell. The university life is as usual, sometimes boring, sometimes interesting, but more boring. The weather here is variable: sometimes the sun shines, sometimes it rains, sometimes is it very cold (4 ° C), sometimes very warm (19 ° C). Above all, the evening temperatures drop greatly, warm is it more from lunchtime to early evening, and it's really very pleasant. Incredibly, that is December ... I could swear it was April. Or October. So it feels.

But south of the Yangtze River (长江, Chángjiāng
) there are no heaters in China, not anywhere. Therefore, it is always cold, whether outside or inside. Noon's is even colder inside than outside. Therefore, Amila and I are considering to buy us a heating source in the form of a radiant heater: 49 yuan (5.57 €) cost a good piece. In Dorm room connected went out after about 5 minutes the light: no, no power failure, it was not 0:30 clock
(where this is automatically cut off the current, every night) , no, the Watts were just too (power?) much. The device consumes only 700 W actually, but that seems to be too much. The trick came with the departure by a fellow student: (No, not P1000361 Takumi ) Mr. Inaba , our Japanese fellow student, has gone to a few days ago for about a month back to Japan, most of his stuff he has here to live with friends. We have also placed some things in the cupboards, and we also got up liquid, given tasty Japanese sauce (とん かつ リース,
Tonkatsu-Riisu
), oil, a folding table and several extension cords and power strip or borrowed. The latter use, we were able to tap the external power source from the bathroom, the more power (it also feeds the boiler for the shower, m-hm!) And also works at night, when everything in the room is dark. Whether this is completely legal, we do not know. We do not care ... we do not freeze to death, yes! And yes, it really is very nice and warm with the new part. this Thursday and Friday is the way, no classes - sports festival in China (as in all communist countries?) a very great and wonderful thing. We are being carted to the school bus after all Chenggong (呈贡) and must "participate". I hope it is only meant to watch. I do not think I will again make (a Chinese version of Mr. Herzig) high and long jump. ;) The week is then exam time - somewhat earlier than at the end of the semester because the Laotians (50% of our class) all go home earlier. Our last test is the way on 24 be December. What do I do for Christmas, I do not even ...

Best Ways To Relieve Sore Throat

101: Rückblick

Finally an entry! I've written anything for so long, was The main reason that we had here for over a week no internet in the dorm, and also that I was sick and busy with a lecture, not to mention the HSK test all ...
* * lufthol
... but first things first:

tests:
We had written some checks in all of our 4 subjects. Sometimes they were the oral exams and some of them were really ridiculous (to tell than 5 minutes, what 'NEM any topic), but sometimes really difficult. The results gave's Percentage: 精读 (Reading Course): 91%, 口语 (Oral): 85%, 听力 (Listening): 66% and 阅读 (newspaper reading): 64%. In the last two I was the next best thing, if I remember correctly, the first two even the best. I seem not to be so bad, summed up the results for these four "intermediate examinations" under 77%. Not bad. End of December in the week before Christmas, we write the final exams for this semester. Let's see how the. And then there was
still the HSK test, HSK 汉语 水平 考试 stands for (H
ànyǔ
S huǐpíng K ǎoshì , such as: Chinese level test) and is a large, well-known method to determine the level of Chinese knowledge. As a result, one has a score and a stage, between 3 and 12 or something like that. The test is really hard, so that one need hardly dream of it, to have everything right. Half is all right. The test took place in the neighboring Yunnan University, and included a hearing test (with headphones), which was less severe than expected, a reading text part that was quasi unschaffbar, the time was too short: a few texts I had not read it, but I just thought: Oh, it's apparently about the doctor fish! What I know about the doctor fish ... and then the answers have answered according to my knowledge of the world. Hopefully it'll bring me some points, it is all multiple choice. The grammar section was to be expected against sauschwer, while the Gap part was just bearable. All in all difficult, but not as heavy as the exercises in Tiks exercise book (I was there for part 2 / 15 points). Let's see when will the results ... Goodbye Internet ...
The main reason why I wrote about 2 weeks is nothing but the sudden and unexpected loss of our beloved Internet access throughout our dorm. Nothing doing, even the teachers Yang did not help. We some of them have used the wireless Internet in our cafe, or on campus ... there it is but especially in the evening icecold, so I had probably caught a bad cold. After
on 7 Internet-less day with a dozen students to Laoshi Yang went to complain, has recommended to us an alternative that was a bit expensive: register to use software, in the 6th Stock will be to unlock dial. Complicated, but now it's done. We will refuse but to pay for any of 40 yuan per month for what we deserve from Uni-page and what some pay for anyway (yes I scholarship). Well at least it works, even if it's very lahm ist. Vortrag

Vor einiger Zeit bei der English Corner am 翠湖 (
Nach meinem Vortrag wollten the bravest girls all took photos with me, really funny! =) There is also a few familiar faces were there, who listened to: Haiyan, who came for an examination but unfortunately, very late, Yijiao, which is now on semester abroad in Thailand, Qinghua, which I had invited and MINF, a friend of Haiyan I also met once (rather embarrassingly recognized) had. Mr. Wang Qinghua me and then moved again to our respective universities, behind. Nice! Theoretically, I paid my taxi money and I get about 150 yuan possibly as a reward ... but that did not happen.
P1000316 Li Rui Li Rui
(aka Thilina Thushara), one of my two Sinhala roommate had a problem with Amila, the other Sinhalese ... I really do not know what happened, we accused each other lies, and Li Rui then claimed to be able to no longer live together with Amila and is then pulled out easily. Now he lives in the 2nd Floor in room number 222 and we get to see him any more. The two do not talk anymore ... hm. So now I live alone with Amila here, which is frankly more enjoyable. More space, more rest, even though I had nothing against Li Rui.
Whether we get a new roommate, I do not know yet ... maybe. We'll see! New teacher

Our teacher in the "Intensive Reading Course" (精读,
Jingdu ) had short-term (again) to Beijing, because her daughter is seriously ill. Now she has to her granddaughter (if I understand correctly) take care and look after something for her daughter. Therefore, we now have a new teacher: Ms Cheng (程), which is also a bit older and somehow - I can not help it - something European looks. Her teaching is soooooo bad: the coronation of the Chinese teaching technique: she talks and talks and solve the tasks in the book itself asks us nothing (but makes dictation, which I think is good), it is dead boring in the course. In addition, she talks too fast. All in all, it is nice. become net is the way our once so hated reading course with their drill instructor military technology. In our worst failed test, they changed their teaching techniques strongly: we go slowly through the lessons, talking through each set to read only one out for yourself and then discuss together the reasons for the answers and she says even the vocabulary. We are very pleased, even though we had not said anything. She has no less than himself. :)
flu

At the same time as my talk, I began to Germany to get sick, apparently a Cold. Cough and fever and general malaise. My fever was pretty strong, I have two days spent in bed and took ibuprofen, which helped initially, the fever has not somehow fight completely. After two days I've really got a bit scared, what could be worse, especially since my head is really hot was. The rescue came in the form of a cold washcloth, the Tik
[our neighbor Thailand, where the left image] worried on my forehead applied (the water is evaporated almost immediately), keep topping. And really, it helped! After she was gone, I fell asleep, woke up after a good night again , and was free from fever: a look at the clock told me then, since Tiks washcloth action is only slightly more than an hour passed and it was 1:30 at night. A few days later I was well again and only had a little cough, but then I had also bought the tablets for a cold, however. The Chinese love the yes, eating tablets when they are sick. That is always the first question, if one is ill, whether he had swallowed medicine ... I've already spoken to think again. P1000342 The love of money is
The third month was (with day 92) and I have to re-calculate my monthly expenses that appear to be less and less:
1219.6 yuan (140.82 €) in last month. Wow! Nearly 200 yuan less than the fellowship gives me. Today I spent 10 yuan by the way for a new notebook / diary, the old is full. I have had the old book until day 100 and day started with day one hundred and first Does not look too bad ... who my attention Flickr photos see Staring,'s faces in the photos next time lying around somewhere!

Linda
Who is Linda? My niece, my sister's daughter that is small, the end of the month will be a year old. The course is at home in Leipzig, and I see them only every now and if I use skype with my parents or my sister - But she is cool and can now run it! Is this normal with just a year? She also begins to speak, slow, yet it is still in the Brabbelphase and I find it sad that I can not document their progress (hmpf I have been well until I have children myself!). According to witness reports of my sister, she says "Mama" to her, and her father to dinner. And if the neighbor's dog barks, says Linda [baʔ baʔ], I've even listened to, great! =)
I should talk a picture of Linda reintun ... Mhueys birthday

Mhuey, our neighbor and Tik Thai housemate had yesterday its 22nd Birthday. Two Thais from the 2nd Stock you have given a large Winnie the Pooh plush bear, after they have alarmed her with a slice of melon (you know: Mhuey's Afraid of melons, hihi!). Tik and I bought a cake yesterday (see right: Mhuey with cake), which was plastered then we all (Amila, I and the 5 Thai girls). Am I wrong, or Mhuey looks really not that much out of Asia? Maybe I see very simply not ...
P1000334 Holiday

No, there are no holidays, but I can sometimes tell when the holidays are here, next year: 8 January to 23 February, these are the holidays around the Spring Festival (春节,
Chūnjié ), which this year on the 3rd February falls. By the way, you will be interested in the weather here: yes, it has become cold and relatively cold. At night, in the morning and evening here's estimated 10 ° C and without heating (south of the Yangtze's not), the bitter cold, really, the day the sun and it will be up to 20 ° C seems like today. Tomorrow is the 2nd Advent and this photo I have just made out:
