III Day 55: Climbing the Xishan Wandering is the miller's joy!
... but also the Sandanuwans, the Hadas, the Inabas, the Udomsins, the Trinh and the Lis. 3 days ago - so at day 53 - we have our plan to climb the Xishan, into action and have went with 7 people.
The Xishan , 西山 to German "West Mountain" or "Western Hills" (Chinese has so usually no plural) is a Bermassiv in the west of Kunming. I was with Haiyan been there close to
temple visit. The Xishan itself is located 2511 m above sea level, that is 614 m above the average height of Kunming. This affects the mountain not too high. The whole mountain is - how should it be any different in China - for tourism commercialized and there are small restaurants, paved roads and highways, and smaller temples, markets with kitsch, and even a cable car that leads upstairs.

Es ging langsam voran, man konnte die Landschaft genießen, Fotos und blöde Witze machen. Es fühlte sich auch sehr sicher an. Haiyan neben mir war die Fahrt nicht so ganz geheuer. Die haben auch Fotos gemacht, die man sich dann für teure 15 Yuan (1,63 €) ausdrucken und laminieren lassen konnte. Ist ein hübsches Bild geworden. Leider sind wir nicht wirklich Once at the top, but near the top, well ... The descent was a bit difficult, and I went mainly to the knee, ouch.
