Modern Wall Standards

Tag 166: Langweilige gähn Ferienzeit * *

Here I am again. Here to complain about my boring holiday season ... but actually it is less due to the time when more of myself that I'm just the absolute sloth and lust have to do. On the other hand, no one is here. It is a holiday ... and really all are at home in their lands, with the exception of a few.
here in the dorm there almost dead silence. Besides me, there's my roommate Amila, Sri Lanka, lives across the meantime (ie the Nangis are also back in Sri Lanka on vacation) Li Rui (also Sinhalese) san with Mr. Inaba, who after his premature return from Japan vorfand a Chinese living in his room and so unceremoniously shipped off to another room was. Furthermore, live at the back end still Ti (ตี๋ [tǐ ː] ) aka "Jesus" with his girlfriend (?) And somehow there is also Zhuzhu / Juju, a total of two or three Thais that I know less well, and Meanwhile, a Laotian (allegedly Jujus friend). On the second floor, according to eyewitness reports, the two still live Amilas Laotinnen very shy, we helped once to the Internet. There are Mr. Jeong (정), the Koreans. Otherwise dead trousers ... in the dormitories of the Chinese (I mentioned that boys and girls were strictly separate residences in house?), Which shall exceed 3 lights burning in the evening.
are also otherwise my Chinese friends all flown over the holidays, all with their families at home. Since you first noticed how few people are ever truly Kunming (Kunmingesen?).

IMAG0008 Oh, and holidays. A few days ago, on 3 Namely, in February, was the Spring Festival (春节, Chūnjié ), the Chinese New Year, announced large and representative of the transition to the year of the rabbit (nuff-nuff) that fell here, but also less spectacular than it has been reported to me from / to Beijing (北京, Běijīng ) (eg [info] oh_galore ). The Böllerei was limited, comparable to Germany, but more (extremely loud!) Flash as a rocket blast, and somehow only over a shorter period of time. Perhaps that is here in Kunming from everything a little calmer. At the time, were all in their families, so I've done virtually nothing. Amila and I were
But the next day with Mr. Jeong and Mr. Inaba-san in a Korean restaurant called Café You & I (카페 너와 나, Kape Neowa Na), to a very delicious dish whose name I do no longer (see right).

IMAG0009 yet what stupid for spring festival, for just under 2 weeks, most shops are closed. Something like WAL ★ MART or Carrefour has not openly, but many restaurants have closed, especially our beloved little shop behind the residence, ooooch. (In the
us across the street, the 圆 西路 (Yuánxī LU) , there's some stores, and the "Foreigner Street" (文林 街, Wenlin Jie ) has still some open shops and snack bars. From hunger (! One can not always eat Burmans bag noodles) have Amila and I went to a seemingly small Korean restaurant called Arirang (아리랑) in the 文 北 巷 (Wénběi-Xiang) - we always Foreigner Street were the real, but is only a side street! - Visited that looked much larger than the inside from the outside. The TARDIS effect? In any case, even the food there was super delicious, I ate an omelet with rice-vegetable-meat-and-ketchup-filling, which was fun. I could have fooled me! Does this not delicious, because the left? I could go there again! We also make the way after ... why, I tell in a few days.

P1000972 And we were some time ago in Bartu, a Turkish students from the same class, in his apartment in the 13th Stock . He had invited a few pals, including Lina, a Norwegian student, who we know well. This is now back at home, so it was also a kind of farewell party for them. There is another funny Halb-Türke/Halb-Deutscher was named Cem (pronounced "Djem"), who said very little German, and Bartus friend whom I recognized at first glance to be Russian did so by the make-up, clothes and hair bleached her. Naja, was quite funny, and later we went into a small bar in the entertainment district of Kunming (昆 都, Kundu ) home what the coordinates refer here to "Location", and quite late again. Yes, at 3 clock at night or something. Since both dormitory and campus are already closed. The former is not a problem because you can rumble to the window guards and make the people out alive, but complain, but never mind.
is difficult the way to the campus. Goes over the fence or over the wall. Young and athletic (huhhuh, huhhuh) how we have, and I Amila the wall quite quickly climbing and jumping overcome, for the mid-50s Mr. Inaba-san, it was somewhat difficult. It took a while, but finally it's has worked. Fun adventure to break into a cloak-and-dagger operation to campus! ^ ^

Oh, and I miss Thailand still ... especially Tik. But the great weather, nice people, delicious food and the beautiful landscape and the buildings on it. Mr. Inaba-san is flying to Bangkok tomorrow to make a holiday. Envy!
Was there anything else important? Well, some things about which I will report on any case yet:
1) The petition for non image of the German language in the constitution,
2) My purchase of a new Smartphone (HTC Desire )
3) My birthday (February 10), and the "celebration" (tonight)
4) The Thai language,
5) Opticians in China (for my dear sister). In each case I would like
write separately ... on another day.

Just like that I would again refer to my Flickr account where I upload photos ever since there's anything nice chronological order with brief descriptions and a special folder for my Thailand Photos for those who have not yet seen their fill at the Paradise.
